If they're in the same row with the rest of the artist's CDs, I can find them every time. One could argue that that's OCD, but in my case, I couldn't find them if they were on another shelf in a large box.
So it's obviously not an isolated case (excuse the pun) but rather a change in company philosophy regarding packaging. I also insisted on not keeping CDs in those non-standard large boxes or books, and would instead put them in multi-CD cases just so they could sit with the rest of my collection on standard shelves. The Film Noir Collection and Scorsese collection discs will also be in keepcases, along with the Hitchcock collection discs. They only cost about 15-20 cents each, so 100 only cost twenty bucks or so for a case - not a big deal. for Progression Through Unlearning (White/Yellow Swirl LP - Craft Exclusive) Snapcase. It's the run-of-the-mill stuff that breaks - or even comes out of the box brand-new already cracked and broken.Īt one time, I had cases of empty CD jewel boxes (very high quality ones), and used them for CDs I made, replacement discs (usually the black trays), or those pesky lids where the hinges often break. Originally Warners used to release 2-disc versions in a snapper case (redesigned with an extra disc holder), but they fell to pieces within weeks so they started using alternative cases instead.
The ones with weird colors, lift-locks, and all that are fine. But in all of those cases, I have yet to break a one-of-a-kind CD case.
