I am impressed with how this economic tent handled a wicked Florida storm and I feel comfortable about my upcoming trips to the Smokies and Canadian Rockies. There were a few leaks toward the end of the 3 hour deluge but that was only because water pooled where I didn't make the rain fly taut enough. Don't get me wrong it was a little scary sometimes but for the most part it was solid. Two trees fell over in the neighbor's yard, but the tent held. The winds were 65+mph and the rain was torential. A friend called and said that there was a tornado warning issued for my area, so what to do? I decided to put the new tent to the test and ride out the storm in it. I set it up and sealed the seams on the rain fly. I got the tent in the mail at work and decided to set it up when I got homw to check it out. I'm a big believer in getting what you pay for things, but check out this story. I had reservations about buying this tent because of it's low price ($85).
